Lewis Rose – Early Life & Education
Lewis Rose was raised in South Africa and was educated in Cape Town at Sea Point Boys’ High School, where he was elected Head Prefect and Captain of the First Rugby XV. He graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in 1981 from the University of Toronto in Ontario, Canada where he was President of the Commerce Students Association and a member of the Varsity Blues Rugby team.
In Toronto, he obtained his Chartered Accountant designation with Coopers & Lybrand, now PriceWaterhouseCoopers. He has been a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario since 1983, and has completed further education courses at Harvard University, including the Harvard Business School’s Agribusiness Executive Program.
Lewis is a graduate of the University of Toronto/Rotman School of Management Directors’ Education Program and holds the ICD.D certification as a certified Director of the Institute of Corporate Directors, Canada, 2011. He received his Chartered Professional Accountant designation in 2012.
